Beyond the clouds, I dream of smart Martians.
Perhaps the stars still cradle hidden life.
Space craft may unlock forgotten secrets.
Bright circuits imitate intelligence.
Skies above conceal deep mysteries.
Besets us to solve this dark mystery.
My strange thoughts present a glowing saucer.
Sense tells me it has deep intelligence.
Parting the lights, I seek out Martians.
Answers are held in deep cosmic secrets.
Strife fades when we find intelligent life.
The vast world overflows with thinking life.
Each dark night, sky still reveals mysteries.
I spend my time seeking flying secrets.
Searching skies to find a flying saucer.
I have wished to meet a gentle Martian.

As a child, I believed in the saucers.

There's not much we know about Martians.
Mysteries will no longer be secrets.

To look outward at stars is to look inward at the same patterns woven through neurons and roots and tides. The cosmos is not a destination or a distance; it is the fabric underlying all things, the same dark matter of mystery that lives in these poems, a chord, a stained glass color catching light.
